Removing Tough Blood Stains From Carpets

2.        Mix one teaspoon of liquid grease-fighting detergent with two cups of cold water.(Cold water is used instead of warm or hot water because blood coagulates with heat. Cold water helps the blood from permeating into the carpet fibers.
3.        Use a clean  paper towel or white cloth  and dip it into the detergent solution
4.       Repeatedly blot directly on the affected area on the carpet.
5.        Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the stain is no more.
Alternatively, when the above procedure fails, you can follow these steps as another removal technique. Things needed include: Ammonia, sponge/ cloth and cold water
1.        Mix one table spoon of ammonia and one-half cup of warm water
2.       Use either cloth or sponge to apply ammonia solution directly to the blood stains.
3.       Keep on blotting the stain until the liquid is fully absorbed.
4.       Apply a sponge dipped in cold water directly to affected area on the carpet and blot dry.
